Every October in Berlin happens the Festival of Lights. During 10 days, well-known sites like Brandenburg Gate and Berlin Cathedral receive amazing 3D mapping and projections done by leading local and international lighting artist. Just after the sunset, the streets come to life with people walking through the city in search of the most exciting lighting projects.
Brands are taking advantage of this huge Berlin event in a very intelligent way. Samsung created a 3D mapping with its Emojis in Brandenburg Gate, the main venue of the festival. With no logo (they just have logo on the side of the projection house, no logo in the projection itself), Samsung is present in a discrete, coherent and strong way. Nikon is also there, offering “photo-walks” with professional Nikon coaches.
